A client came to Heirloom Timber Framing with a desire to capture wandering eyes of the passerby for their roadside sign. Using a balance of masculine and feminine lines this attention catching hammer bent is sure to excite anyone about their own timber frame project. We custom designed, engineered and hand fashioned this timber frame using Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum) material for its durability to weather.

The Settawig display timber frame is on public view at Heirloom Timber Framing's beamery. All timber was sustainably harvested from naturally fallen trees and milled on site by Heirloom Timber Framing. All joinery is traditional mortise and tenon. The frame was hand raised using a gin pole system.

A client approached Heirloom Timber Framing to embellish their home entrance with a custom design and hand fashioned timber frame. All joinery within the timber frame is traditional mortise and tenon. Naturally curved cherry was chosen then sustainably harvested for the brace and strut members giving this unique design some elegant lines.

The Raina timber frame was fashioned by Heirloom Timber Framing as a greenhouse for the client's garden. White oak timber was chosen for its durability and strength, while black walnut and cherry through spline gave contrast to the structure. Ridgetop Timber Frame Design employed ladder style bracing and a steep roof to capture plenty of light.

The Mandala project was designed, engineered and hand fashioned by Heirloom Timber Framing from sustainably harvested timber in and around Brasstown. The timber frame was enclosed with natural materials such as cob and slip straw to create a unique space for a spiritual retreat center.

Heirloom Timber Framing's timberwright Ford Hall was hired as one of four joiners for this one of a kind multiple species timber frame project. Designer and builder V. Voss milled all the timber on site, which was sustainably harvested. The 40' x 60' furniture makers shop was influenced by a Dutch barn design complimented with eye catching features such as through bracing, a curved roof line, and live edge braces.
